Questioning Jesus
Have you ever been falsely accused? Many probably have...but none more famous than Jesus being accused by the Sanhedrin, a group of rabbis and religious leaders who served in the courts. They falsely accused Jesus of many things, and even met in the deep of night, and yet they could not find two witnesses who corroborated the same story. Jesus' response? Silence. He knew that integrity needed no defense.

    Disappointing Jesus
Our expectations can outweigh our reality. Take for instance reviews online. You might see a 5-star rated hotel and expect big things of that hotel chain. Yet you might experience a 2-star rated service and your reality of that hotel diminishes. It was the same for Jesus and his friends -- Peter, James, and John -- as he went to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus, in the moment of need his closest disciples let him down. They were unable to stay awake. Find out how God shatters our disappointments and increases our maturity and holiness.

    This Is My Body
As we continue to look at the last week of Jesus' life, we look at the most famous supper ever -- we know it as the Last Supper. A time of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, but instead of focusing on the ritual of the festivities, we look at the cup and bread. Jesus makes this odd statement to his disciples that the cup being his blood and the bread was his body.  Pastor Jim uses examples of  "chocolate sandwich cookies with creme filling in between," the Vietnam Monument, and kissing (yes, kissing!) to describe the Last Supper, intrigued...take a listen to find out more.

    Betraying Jesus
Some betrayals we will never understand. Judas betrayal of Jesus ranks high on the list. The story of Judas betrayal is woven through the last week of the story of Jesus. But why did Judas betray Jesus? The answer is just a click away.

    We Need More Doxology
We need more doxology, not more cowbell. To end our time with the Lord's Prayer, we look at the end of the prayer, "for yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen." Your not going to find it in Matthew 6, but rather we find it through tradition. Doxology is praising God and that's a good thing. So listen to find out more on this last line in the Lord's Prayer.

    Temptation and Deliverance
We may find that relying on willpower alone could be foolish. For instance, not surfing on the internet for fun when you're suppose to be working. Willpower is a lot like the prayer Jesus prayed, "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." Hey prayed that we would not be tempted. God does not tempt us, but we often come up to the proverbial 'line in the sand' and if we crossed it, could fall into that temptation. Take a listen to what this line in Jesus' prayer is telling us today.

    Forgiven and Forgiving
Prayer changes us, and that's a good thing. When Jesus addressed the disciples concern of how to pray, he led them in the Lord's Prayer. As we have been going line by line, we come to "forgive is our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors." Or trespasses. or sins. Depending on translation. But at the heart of this prayer, Jesus wants us to forgive as God has already forgiven us.

    Heaven On Earth
As we continue to look at the Lord's Prayer line by line, we come to these words, "...your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven." These are powerful words to pray. Ultimately, heaven on earth is achieved when we put aside our own will and seek the will of God.

    Conversation With God
What better way to start the new year than with prayer! We all know that relationships require communication. If you want to really scare a Christian ask them, "how is your prayer life." No one would say they have an awesome prayer life, but we ought to strive to communicate with Our Heavenly Father. So take a step today and pray!

    The Gift We Need
    Series: Behold
What is the best gift you have ever received? As we wrap up 2017, we look at a story in John where John (known as John the Baptist) announces the coming of the Messiah, Jesus. "Behold the Lamb of God."
